DESCRIPTION
Tablets are round, sugar-coated, yellow in color with a specific odor from the ingredients.
COMPOSITION
One tablet for cats and dogs weighing more than 10 kg contains the following active ingredients (mg):
- nitroxoline – 25.2 mg
- drotaverine hydrochloride – 20.4 mg
Auxiliary substances: Horsetail extract – 10.2 mg, valerian extract – 10.2 mg, nettle leaf extract – 10.2 mg, juniper extract – 10.2 mg, licorice root extract – 10.2 mg, leaf extract – 5.1 mg, chamomile extract – 5.1 mg, talc, albumin (egg white), calcium stearate, polyvinylpyrrolidone, glucose, microcrystalline cellulose, milk sugar, sorbitol, sugar coating.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
ANTI CYSTITIS tablets are combined antimicrobial medications that provide antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, diuretic, and saluretic effects.
Nitroxoline is an 8-hydroxyquinoline derivative. Nitroxoline selectively inhibits bacterial DNA synthesis by forming complexes with metal-containing enzymes in the microbial cell, preventing their binding to specific substrates. This leads to bacteriostatic, bactericidal, and fungicidal effects.
Drotaverine hydrochloride exerts a long-lasting antispasmodic, myotropic, and vasodilatory effect, relieving spasms of smooth muscles in the urinary tract and tenesmus of the bladder. The drug is metabolized in the liver and is almost completely eliminated from the body within 72 hours, with approximately 30% excreted in urine and 50% in feces. Most of it is excreted as metabolites, and it is not detectable in unchanged form in urine.
The complex of biologically active substances from medicinal plants (flavonoids, essential oils, tannins, vitamins, mineral compounds) has antiseptic, diuretic, antispasmodic, and anti-inflammatory properties and promotes the elimination of stones in urinary stone disease.
ANTI CYSTITIS tablets are classified as low-toxic substances and, when used at recommended doses, do not cause local irritation or sensitization.
INDICATIONS
The medication is used in cats and dogs to treat acute and chronic inflammatory and infectious diseases of the urinary tract (cystitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis), urinary stone disease, to prevent infections during diagnostic procedures, and post-surgery after the removal of urinary stones in cats and dogs.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Tablets are given to animals individually with food or directly placed on the root of the tongue. For therapeutic purposes, administer 3 times a day for 7-14 days, using the following doses:

It is important to avoid missing a dose, as this may reduce the effectiveness of treatment. The duration of the treatment course and any adjustments in dosage should be determined by the veterinarian based on the animal’s condition, the severity, and progression of the disease.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to any component of the product (including in the medical history). If increased individual sensitivity to the medication is observed, its use should be discontinued, and symptomatic treatment should be provided as needed.
Do not use in animals with signs of acute heart, kidney, or liver failure.
Do not use if resistant strains of the pathogen are identified.
Not intended for use in prophylactic treatment.
Do not use in weakened or emaciated animals!
WARNING
In some animals, an increased individual sensitivity to the components of the medication may lead to salivation.
No symptoms of overdose have been observed in animals.
For pregnant and lactating animals, puppies, and kittens, consult with a veterinarian before use.
When handling the medication, it is important to follow general hygiene and safety rules for handling veterinary medicines.
FORM OF RELEASE
Tablets in blister packs of 10 tablets, with 1, 2, 3, or 5 blister packs in a package. Polymer jars containing 20, 30, or 50 tablets. Secondary packaging – cardboard boxes.
STORAGE
Store the medication in its original packaging at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C, away from food and feed, in a dry, light-protected, and moisture-free place, out of the reach of children.
