ANTI-TOX INDIVID (feed mixture)
| Ingredients: | Enzymes, Bacillus bacteria, corn starch, lactose |
| Application: | Orally with food |
| Type of formulation: | feed mixture |
Description
Powder from yellowish to brown in colour.
Composition
1 g of the feed mixture contains:
- Enzyme produced by bacteria of the genus Bacillus that deactivates the mycotoxin deoxynivalenol (DON, vomitoxin). The enzyme content in the feed mixture is not less than 50,000 IU/g.
- Bacillus licheniformis – not less than 2,0*109 CFU/g.
- Bacillus subtilis – not less than 3,0*109 CFU/g.
- Corn starch – 0,10 g.
- Lactose – 0,05 g.
Moisture content not more than 10 %.
Pharmacological properties
ANTI-TOX INDIVID feed mixture belongs to enzyme products of specific action and to fourth-generation probiotics and contains spore-forming bacteria Bacillus licheniformis, Bacillus subtilis.
ANTI-TOX INDIVID is a entirely biological product containing an enzyme that destroys the mycotoxin DON. Its efficacy is 99.8% for animals and poultry.
Vomitoxin (DON) is a mycotoxin that belongs to the trichothecene group of mycotoxins and is produced by fungi of the genus Fusarium. DON causes nausea and feed refusal in pigs, decreased egg production in poultry, death of bird embryos, digestive disorders and may lead to death of animals. The mechanism of vomitoxin (DON) action in dairy cattle has not yet been fully elucidated, but clinical studies indicate a relationship between DON intake and reduced productivity. Thus, vomitoxin (DON) may be an indicator of low-quality feed contaminated with mycotoxins consumed by an affected herd. The results of other field studies help confirm the relationship between vomitoxin (DON) and poor productivity in dairy herds; such a decline has also been associated with reduced feed intake in dry dairy cattle.
The additional components of ANTI-TOX INDIVID feed mixture are Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus licheniformis (live bacteria). Primary and secondary metabolites of these live bacteria are small protein molecules with activity against vomitoxin (deoxynivalenol, DON). ANTI-TOX INDIVID feed mixture works by splitting the epoxide groups of mycotoxins and degrading toxic substances to non-toxic metabolites; it can replace 50% of the probiotic dose.
Bacillus subtilis is a spore-forming bacterium that suppresses the growth of pathogenic Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria by competitively displacing them, without causing resistance. It produces lysozyme and peptides with antibiotic properties in the intestine, as well as a large amount of enzymes.
Bacillus licheniformis is a spore-forming bacterium that synthesizes vitamins in the digestive tract – vitamin K, riboflavin, folic acid. It helps maintain the acid-base balance in the large intestine, produces lactic acid, and promotes the absorption of nutrients. It suppresses the growth of pathogenic microorganisms and stimulates the growth of lactobacilli.
The symbiosis of these bacteria improves the state of the intestinal microflora and reduces the risk of bacterial diseases due to natural displacement of opportunistic bacteria, stimulating the multiplication of lactic acid bacteria. The high enzymatic activity of these bacteria supports digestion processes, improves feed digestion and absorption of nutrients. Due to stimulation of the phagocytic activity of monocytes and neutrophils, enhancement of the functional activity of macrophages, induction of endogenous interferon and an increase in the content of the gamma-globulin fraction of blood, the non-specific immunity of the body is enhanced.
Indications
ANTI-TOX INDIVID feed mixture can reduce the toxic effect of DON in poultry, pigs and cattle and improve growth performance of animals.
ANTI-TOX INDIVID can also be used for treatment, for degradation of DON and removal of toxins, to increase natural resistance of the body and the level of immunity during and after vaccination, and to protect animals from the consequences of stress of various origins.
