Description
Light-grey – grey-brown granular powder with slight specific odor.
Composition
1 g contains the following ingredients:
maduramicin (in the form of maduramicin ammonium) - 10
mg.
Additive agents: wheat middling, calcium carbonate
Pharmacological Properties

Maduramicin as a component of the
medicinal product is an eimeriostatic agent of a wide spectrum of effect
against eimeria Eimeria tenella, E.
acervulla, E. necatrix, E. maxima, E. mivati, E. brunettii and others. Maduramicin
is referred to the group of polyether monocarboxylic ionophoric antibiotics
produced by strain Actinomadura
Yumanensis.
The mode
of action of maduramicin is based on the selective enhancement of transportation
of monovalent cations (sodium and potassium ions) through eimeria cell membrane
leading to disturbance of cell turgid, swelling of cytoplasm and further
eimeria death via cell membrane destruction. Maduramicin ammonium is very little
absorbed in digestive tract thus having its effect upon mucous and submucous
membranes. It is egested unchanged of the poultry organism, mainly, with fecal
matter within 2-3 days.
MADUROSAN-VS is referred to the low toxic products and
doesn’t cause local irritating, resorptive toxic and sensibilizing effect in
recommended doses. The medicinal product is toxic for horses.
It is compatible with vitamins and feed additives used in poultry farming.
Indications for Use
Treatment and preventive treatment of eimerioses in chicken (broilers, rearing stock of chicken).
Dosage
Perorally with feed in a dose:
0,5 kg of the product per 1000 kg of feed (equivalent
to 5 mg of maduramicin per 1 kg of poultry body mass):
To broilers from the first day of life within the
entire period of breeding and then removed off the ration 5 days prior to
slaughter;
To rearing stock of chicken from the first days of
life to 16 weeks.
The multistage mixing (in 10, 100 and 1000 kg of feed) is provided for homogenous distribution of the product in feeds.
Counterindications
Not to be used
by laying hens!
Not to be
combined with tiamulin! (MADUROSAN VS is not applied 7 days before and after
tiamulin application)
Not to be
combined with other eimeriostatics!
Not to be used by horses and other perissodactyls!
Precaution
Poultry slaughter
for meat is allowed in 5 days after the most recent product application.
The meat obtained before the period hereinabove is to be recycled or fed to non-productive animals on the basis of veterinary physician’s opinion.

Storage
