Powder from white to yellowish-brown with the specific odor components.
COMPOSITION
Each 1 g contains the active ingredient:
amoxicillin trihydrate – 500.0 mg.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Amoxicillin belongs to the group of ß-lactam antibiotics. It blocks the
synthesis of cell walls of bacteria, inhibits the enzyme activity of
transpeptidase and carboxypeptidase, causes break of osmotic balance, leading
to the death of microorganisms on stage of development.
The preparation is active against Gram-positive (Actynomyces spp., Bacillus
antracis, Cloctridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae,
Streptococcus spp., Listeria monocytogenes) and Gram-negative (Actinobacillus
spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, Fusobacterium spp., Haemophilus spp.,
Moraxella spp., Pasteurella spp., Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella spp.)
microorganisms and other stimulators susceptible to amoxicillin.
INDICATIONS
Treatment of calves under 6 weeks, pigs and poultry (chicken-broilers, replacements,
turkeys, ducks, geese), suffering from septicemia, meningitis, erysipelas,
arthritis, polyarthritis, and also diseases of gastrointestinal tract
(gastritis, enteritis, peritonitis), respiratory organs (tonsillitis,
tracheitis, pneumonia, bronchitis, rhinitis, sinusitis, pneumonia) and
genitourinary (nephritis, pyelitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis, urocistitis,
metritis, mastitis), skin (dermatitis) caused by organisms susceptible to
amoxicillin.
DOSAGE
Orally in doses:
- calves – 1.0-2.0 g of the preparation per 100 kg of body weight twice a day
(10-20 mg of amoxicillin per 1 kg of body weight per day) with drinking water
or food, milk or milk substitutor;
- pigs – 2.0 g of the preparation per 100 kg of body weight twice a day (20 mg of
amoxicillin per 1 kg of body weight per day) with drinking water;
- poultry (chicken-broilers, replacements, turkeys, ducks, geese) – 0.3-0.4 g of
the preparation per 10 kg of body weight per day (15-20 mg of amoxicillin per 1
kg of body weight per day) or 100 grams of the preparation per 300 liters of
drinking water.
The preparation is used with drinking water of food, treatment course – 5 days.
While using preparation with drinking water solution is prepared from the
calculation of the required half of daily requirement of drinking water in
accordance with the rules of supplying water to certain age groups of animal.
At first, drinking water with preparation is fed for the first 12 hours and
then drinking water is given.
Shelf life: when mixing the preparation with food – 24-36 hours, when
dissolving in water – 12 hours.
