Doramax (solution for injection)
Ingredients: Doramectin
Application: Injection
Type of formulation: ANTIPARASITIC

Description

Oily liquid from colorless to yellowish color.

Composition

1 ml of the preparation contains active substance:
doramectin - 10,0 mg.
Auxiliary substances: ethyloat, butylhydroxyanisole, benzyl alcohol, cotton oil.

Pharmacological properties

АТС vet  QP54, endectocides (QP54AA03, doramectin)
Active substance of the preparation is doramectin ― macrocyclic lactone, semisynthetic derivative of avermectins group. Doramectin demonstrates a wide spectrum of system nematocidal, insecticidal and acaricidal activity, larvicidal and ovocidal properties. Modulates chloride ions activity in nervous system of nematodes and arthropods. By binding to specific receptors increases permeability of synaptic membranes for chloride ions, leading to blocking of nematodes and arthropods nervous and muscle cells activity, which leads to paralysis and death of parasites. In mammals, these receptors are localized only in the central nervous system, and doramectin does not penetrate through the blood-brain barrier, therefore in recommended doses is safe for mammals.
In recommended doses, the preparation does not have mutagenic, teratogenic and embryotoxic effect.
The DORAMAX preparation is easily resorbed from injection site, has high efficiency and has no negative effect on animals organism. Pharmacokinetic peculiarities of doramectin provides for preservation of therapeutic preparation concentrations in animals blood and for a long time protect from reinvasion. Prolonged action is twice longer in comparison with other preparations, which contain ivermectin.
