Description
Light-yellow transparent homogenous low-viscous liquid with the typical odor without any foreign particles. In case of storage a small sediment formation is possible.
Formulation
Active ingredients:
- glutaric aldehyde – 15%
- benzalkonium chloride – 8%
- didecyldimethylammonium chloride – 2.25%
Excipients: surface-active agents (SAA), orthophosphoric acid, water.
Pharmacological properties
The preparation contains no formaldehyde, chlorine and phenol. Thanks to 3 active ingredients it has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial effect against different types of microorganisms: bacteria, viruses, fungi. It is active in hard water and effective under any conditions including contamination conditions. It is cost effective in use and has antiviral effect already in 0.5% concentration. It foams perfectly and wets any surface well. It has long-term effect and is nonaddictive for microorganisms what provides a stable result of disinfection. It can be used during the period of reproduction.
The drug can be used in the presence of animals and it is safe for the environment.
The drug is biodegradable.
Use
It can be used in poultry farms, pig breeding farms, livestock farms, industrial enterprises, agricultural and community facilities, in public catering places for disinfection of equipment, premises including floors, walls, ceilings as well as for disinfection of shoes and motor transport.
In the presence of animals the preparation shall be used in the use concentrations (0.1-0.25%) for disinfection and treatment of premises and disinfection of hatchable eggs.
The preparation shall be used by means of aerosol spraying in the form of hot fog, by means of foam applying, cold aerosol spraying and atomized spraying. It can be also used by method of manual treatment.
Method of application
For preventive disinfection by means of spraying method, by wiping and foam applying you shall use 0.1 – 0.25% treatment solution with consumption of 0.1-0.5 l/m2 (foam applying 0.1-0.3 l/m2), exposition 30-40 minutes.
For forced disinfection against especially dangerous diseases and viruses by use of spraying method, wiping of surfaces and foam applying you shall use 0.5% treatment solution with consumption of 0.3 l/m2 (foam applying 0.2 l/m2), exposition 60 minutes.
For forced disinfection against especially dangerous diseases (bird influenza, classic and African swine fever, Talfan virus, Aujeszky's disease, foot-and-mouth disease virus, myxomatosis virus, nodular dermatitis, Newcastle’s virus, Hepatitis contagiosa canis virus, infectious anemia of chickens, infectious bursal disease of chickens and reo-viral infection of birds) by method of spraying, wiping of surfaces, foam applying you shall use 0.5-1.0% treatment solution with consumption of 0.3 – 0.5 l/m2 (foam applying 0.1 – 0.3 l/m2), exposition 60 minutes.
For preventive, forced and final disinfection by method of fogging (aerosol spraying) you shall use the treatment solution (up to 1 l of GERMECID-VS shall be added per 3 l of water for 1000 m3 of the premise), exposition is not less than 3 hours with switched off ventilation system. Fogging can be carried out both by use of cold and thermal method with use of foam generators. For sanation of all volume of a premise in the presence of animals and birds we recommend to use mechanical aerosol generators. Treatment shall be carried out by use of 0.5% solution of GERMICID-VS preparation. Standard consumption is 2-5 ml of treatment solution per 1 m3. To increase the fog distribution you can add glycerin in the treatment solution on the basis of 5-10% of the total volume. Treatment shall be carried out under conditions of switched off ventilation system. If it is impossible completely to switch off the ventilation system or create hermetic conditions in a premise the volume of the treatment solution can be increased up to 25 ml per 1 m3.
Disinfection of eggs and egg packaging shall be carried out by use of spraying method or aerosol method with use of 0.1 – 0.25% solution.
Filling of disinfectant barriers 0.5% as and when necessary and to the extent of drying.
Cation
The staff that works with disinfectant shall follow all general hygiene and safety rules that are adopted for work with disinfectants.
All works with GERMECID-VS shall be carried out with use of overalls and personal protective equipment (respirators or industrial gas masks, gastight goggles and rubber gloves). It is prohibited to drink, smoke and eat during the works. After completion of the works you shall thoroughly wash your face and hands with some soap and gargle your mouth with water.
In case of accidental contact of skin or mucous membrane with disinfectant you shall immediately wash it by running water with soap. In case of occurrence of allergic reactions and/ or in case of penetration of disinfectant in human body you shall immediately apply to a health care institution (you shall the product insert or the label with).
In the recommended concentrations GERMECID-VS is safe for the environment, human and animals.
