Characters

Transparent oily liquid, from light-yellow to dark-yellow color, with specific odor of the components.

COMPOSITION

1 mL contains:
Active ingredients - Vitamin A (retinol acetate or palmitate) - 30 000 IU;
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol or ergocalciferol) - 40 000 IU;
Vitamin E(-tocopherol acetate) - 20 mg;
Vitamin F (linethol) - 5 mg;
Excipients:
Vegetable oil.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

The action of the product is conditional upon the properties of vitamins А, D, Е, F, which are its ingredients. Vitamin A participates in redox processes, maintains a normal functioning of the mucous membranes and organs of vision. Vitamin D influences favorably on both calcium and phosphorus metabolism in the organism. Vitamin Е participates in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism; prevents unsaturated fatty acids oxidation from occurring; spermatogenesis and embryonic development. Vitamin F participates in lipid metabolism, contributes to dissolving out cholesterol deposits, improves capillary stability and blood vessel elasticity.

INDICATIONS

Triovet-F is used for treatment and prophylaxis of A-and D-hypervitaminosis (rickets) in farm animals and poultry; against alimentary osteopathy and secondary osteodystrophy; postpartum hypocalcemia and hypophosphatemia; pre- and postpartum alimentary osteopathy pressure sores; nutritional dystrophy; bronchitis and bronchial pneumonia; a delay of placenta expelling after birth; subinvolution of uterus; endometritis; bone fractures; and joint dysplasia. The product is used in diseases accompanied with A and D vitamin, calcium and phosphor malabsorption and dysbolism (gastroenteritis, hepatic necrosis, hepatitis, ketosis, glomerulonephritis, hyothyroisis, hypoparathyreosis, parakeratosis, Cushing's syndrome).

Forcomplete provision with vitamin A,the medication should be administered once every 7 days forprophylactic purposes and once every 5 days for therapeutic purposesat the following doses, respectively, in thou IU:

cows- 300 - 350 and 350 - 400;

calves(per 100 kg b. w.) – 70 - 80 and 80 - 90;

pregnantmares - 200 and 400;

lactatingmares - 250 and 550;

foals- 50 and 100;

broodsows - 80 and 150;

lactatingsows - 120 and 150-200;

piglets- 40 and 60-80;

pregnantsheep 25 and 70;

lactatingsheep – 40 and 80;

goats– 30 and 40;

hens– 6.0 and 9.0;

geeseand turkeys – 15 - 20 and 30.

DOSAGEAND ADMINISTRATION

Triovet-Fis administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously once every 7 daysfor prophylactic purposes and once every 5 days intramuscularly fortherapeutic purposes until full recovery (5 to 8 injections); lateron, if necessary, the medication is administered in the prophylacticdoses. During treatment period, animal’s diets should be balancedin calcium, phosphorus and microelements.

Productdoses are calculated based on vitamin D3.

PRECAUTIONS

Avoidoverdosage in birds, dogs and cats that sensitive to excessive dosesof medicine.

HOWSUPPLIED

Neutralglass vials of 10 mL, 20 mL, 50 mL, and 100 mL closed with rubberstoppers and sealed with aluminum caps.

STORAGE

Storein a dry place protected from light at between 0ºС and 20ºС.
Shelflife is 18 months.
