White to light grey rounded tablets

COMPOSITION

One tablet (1.8 g) contains the active ingredient:
albendazole – 0.36 g;

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

ATCvet QP52A, antitrematode, antinematode and anticestode veterinary preparations (QP52AS11, albendazole).

The active ingredient of the preparation albendazole belongs to the group of benzimidazoles.

Albendazole mechanism of action is to inhibit protein (tubular) synthesis, resulting in broken receipts and intracellular transport of nutrients and metabolism of substrates of substances (adenosine triphosphate and glucose), and reducing mitochondrial reactions through inhibition of fumeratereductases, resulting in the decrease of glycogen level and death of parasites from exhaustion.

Albendazole also has ovicidal effect (destroys helminth eggs), reduces pasture contamination and places for walking dogs, reduces the probability of reinfection of animals.

Albendazole is used for animals without dieting and the use of laxatives.

INDICATIONS

The prevention and treatment of parasitic diseases caused by mature forms of larvae and eggs of gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodiasis (roundworms), cestodiasis (tapeworms) and trematodiasis for horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and cats.

Cattle, sheep, goats:

• gastrointestinal nematodiasis: Haemonchus contortus, Ostertagia spp., Trichostrongylus axei, Trichostrongylus colubriformis, Cooperia oncophora, Oesophagostomum radiatum, Nematodirus helvetianus;

• pulmonary nematodiasis: Dyctyocaulus viviparus;

• cestodiases (tape worms): Moniezia expansa;

• trematodiases: Fasciola hepatica (adults).

Pigs:

• gastrointestinal nematodiasis: Ascaris suum, Oesophagortomum spp., Trichocephalus spp., Strongyloides spp., Metastrongylus spp.

Horses:

• nematodiasis: Parascaris eguorum, Strongylus vulgaris, S.eguinus, Oxyuris egui.

In carnivores (dogs, cats):

• gastrointestinal nematodiasis: Toxocara spp., Toxascaris spp., Uncinaria spp., Ancylostoma spp., Trichocephalus spp.,

• cestodiasis: Taenia solium, Dipylidium caninum, Diphyllobothrium latum;

• trematodiasis: Opisthorchis felineus.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Hypersensitivity to drugs of benzimidazole.
Do not use for animals with liver disease, kidney and hemopoietic system.
Do not use for weak and emaciated animals.
Do not use simultaneously with other antihelmintic agents.
The drug should not be used for females in the last trimester of pregnancy.

PRECAUTIONS

Animals may only be slaughtered for meat not earlier than 14 days; milk is fit for human food within 2 days from the last use of the preparation.
When working with the product the general rules of personal hygiene and work rules with veterinary drugs must be complied.

HOW SUPPLIED

Packets made of polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene telephtalate pellicle with 1 tablet. Or polymeric containers with 10 or 100 tablets.

STORAGE

Store in dry, protected from light place at temperature of 10°С to 25°С in the manufacturer container on shelves or tiers.
Shelf life – 2 years.
