CARNIVET-L ® (solution for oral use)

CARNIVET-L ® (solution for oral use)
Ingredients: sorbitol, magnesium sulfate, L-carnitine, sodium benzoate, purified water
Application: Oral
Type of formulation: Feed additive

Description

An oily liquid from colourless to light yellow; a slight sediment may occur.

Composition

1 ml of feed mixture contains:
- sorbitol – 250,0 mg;
- magnesium sulfate – 250,0 mg;
- L-carnitine – 50,0 mg;
- sodium benzoate – 0,25 mg;
- purified water q.s. to 1 ml.

Pharmacological properties

The efficacy of the combined feed mixture CARNIVET-L is due to the properties of the components included in its composition.

Sorbitol, accumulating in the liver in the form of glycogen, participates in energy metabolism and has diuretic properties.

Magnesium sulfate improves intestinal peristalsis, increases feed digestibility and has choleretic properties.

Sorbitol and magnesium sulfate regulate intestinal transit and enhance bile outflow.

L-carnitine in the feed mixture is a vitamin-like substance related to B-group vitamins, synthesised in the body from three amino acids: arginine, methionine and glycine. L-carnitine is found in muscle tissue and the liver, where it intensifies the oxidation of fatty acid molecules. L-carnitine has anabolic, antihypoxic and antithyroid effects, stimulates regenerative tissue activity, promotes normalisation of metabolic processes, exerts an anabolic effect, lowers cholesterol levels, prevents osteoporosis and apoptosis, improves appetite and activates fat metabolism. Exogenous L-carnitine has properties analogous to those of the endogenous substance.

Use of the feed mixture leads to increased endurance of the body, improved heart function, reduced subcutaneous fat, and increased muscle mass due to accelerated metabolic processes in cells, improved penetration of vitamins and minerals into cells, and elimination of breakdown products. The feed mixture reduces the risk of fatty liver degeneration, nephrosis and myocardosis, prevents the development of stress (heat stress, transport stress and other types of stress), increases appetite and feed utilisation, and improves digestion and fat absorption, which is particularly important during periods of intensive growth of animals and poultry.

Indications

Prevents liver dystrophy syndrome, normalises metabolism, increases general resistance and productivity, contributes to stress prevention, supports the body after previous diseases, normalises metabolic processes in cases of impaired liver and kidney function (hepatitis and nephritis), and also helps improve liver and kidney function and accelerate growth during fattening of calves, goats, sheep, pigs, horses, poultry and rabbits.

Dosage and administration

Administer orally to animals by mixing with drinking water or adding to feed at the following dose:

Horses, cattle (young animals) - 15 ml/animal/day for 5 days.
When the feed mixture is used to reduce the negative effects of stress caused by vaccination or the use of antibiotics or coccidiostats - 20 ml/animal/day for 5 days.

Horses, cattle (adult animals) - 20 ml/animal/day for 10 days.
When the feed mixture is used to reduce the negative effects of stress caused by vaccination or the use of antibiotics or coccidiostats - 50 ml/animal/day for 5 days.

Pigs, sheep, goats (young animals) - 1 ml/animal/day for 10 days.
When the feed mixture is used to reduce the negative effects of stress caused by vaccination or the use of antibiotics or coccidiostats - 2 ml/animal/day for 5 days.

Pigs, sheep, goats (adult animals) - 15 ml/animal/day for 10 days.
When the feed mixture is used to reduce the negative effects of stress caused by vaccination or the use of antibiotics or coccidiostats - 40 ml/animal/day for 5 days.

Poultry, rabbits - 1 ml of feed mixture/l of drinking water for 5 days.
