Pharmacological properties
The feed mixture HEPASAN-VS contains a complex of vitamins, amino acids, microelements and other compounds which together improve the condition of the digestive system and have choleretic and protective effects on the hepatobiliary system of animals and poultry, optimising the main physiological processes.
Sorbitol, accumulating in the liver in the form of glycogen, takes part in energy metabolism and has diuretic properties.
Choline chloride is an organic compound that helps prevent fatty infiltration of the liver and is an important source of methyl groups required for biochemical processes in the body.
Choline chloride is a component of phospholipids, which contribute to the synthesis of biological membranes and activation of enzymatic processes.
Magnesium sulphate improves intestinal peristalsis, increases feed digestibility and has choleretic properties, and also helps remove toxins from the body, increases the secretion of bile and digestive enzymes, enhances intestinal peristalsis and supplies the body with magnesium ions.
Betaine is a natural source of methyl groups and a hepatoprotective agent that positively affects metabolism and improves the condition of the intestinal epithelium, ensures more complete utilisation of dietary energy, increases resistance to stress, has choleretic and lipotropic effects, activates metabolic methylation in the liver and the synthesis of phospholipids of cell membranes.
L-carnitine is a product of lysine and methionine biosynthesis that accelerates metabolic processes.
L-carnitine is involved in the breakdown of excess fatty acids, enhancing their oxidation and transport to mitochondria, plays an important role in the transport of acetyl-coenzyme A, increases the use of energy sources by cells and helps normalise metabolism in the body.
L-arginine is an amino acid that stimulates cellular metabolism, contributes to the detoxification and elimination of ammonia, helps regulate blood glucose level and reduces lactic acidosis caused by muscular load, activates the system of nitrogen-containing enzymes and synthesises nitroso groups, ensuring the required tone of arteries.
Use of the feed mixture helps increase the endurance of the body, improve cardiac function, reduce subcutaneous fat and increase muscle mass due to acceleration of metabolic processes in cells, improve penetration of vitamins and minerals into cells and the elimination of metabolic products.
The feed mixture helps reduce the risk of fatty liver dystrophy, nephrosis and myocardosis, helps prevent stress (heat, transport and other types of stress), increases appetite and feed utilisation, improves digestion and absorption of fats, which is especially important during the period of intensive growth of animals and poultry.
Indications
For enrichment of the diet, for liver detoxification and normalisation of its function and regeneration after endo- and exointoxications, to accelerate its recovery during periods of intensive stress or high productive load, to normalise metabolism, improve cardiac function, increase general resistance and productivity, prevent stress, improve utilisation of nutrients and accelerate growth during fattening of calves, goats, sheep, pigs, horses, poultry and rabbits.
Dosage
The feed mixture is administered orally to horses, cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, poultry and rabbits for 5–10 days at the following doses:
- fattening calves – 0,5-1 ml/l of liquid feed;
- sheep, goats, pigs, horses, rabbits – 0,5-1 ml/l of drinking water;
- poultry – 0,5–0,75 ml/l of drinking water.
Contraindications
None known.
