GUADOX (feed additive)

GUADOX (feed additive)
Ingredients: guanidinoacetic acid
Application: Orally
Type of formulation: feed additive

Description

Powder.

Composition

1 kg contains active ingredient:

- guanidinoacetic acid (3c372) – at least 97.5%.

Pharmacological properties

Guanidinoacetic acid (GAA) is a derivative of the amino acids glycine and arginine. GAA is a natural metabolic precursor of creatine. It is known that animals can absorb GAA well from feed.

Creatine is a substance that plays an important role in energy metabolism, in particular in muscle cells, acting as an energy buffer to ensure the uninterrupted availability of ATP for all energy-consuming functions in the body. In highly productive animals, such as broilers, the inability to synthesize sufficient creatine can be a growth-limiting factor. Guanidinoacetic acid is the only source of creatine synthesis in animals such as poultry, cattle, sheep, pigs, etc. Due to the limited ability of animals to synthesize guanidinoacetic acid, it is easy to lead to creatine deficiency in vivo, so it needs to be supplemented in the diet. Compared to feed additives or feed mixtures containing creatine, guanidinoacetic acid is more stable, more effective in vivo and has no adverse reactions. Therefore, the best way to supplement creatine is to add guanidinoacetic acid in the form of a GUADOX feed mix.

During periods of intensive growth, various types of stress and intense immune system functioning, animals experience energy deficits. Creatine plays a key role in energy metabolism. Creatine is especially important for the active growth of broilers and growing piglets, to increase the hatchability of chicks and improve the quality of boar sperm, and to maintain the immune response at an optimal level during stress, high risk of infection and intensive vaccination programs.

The pancreas, under the influence of guanidine compounds, namely creatine and  guanidinoacetic acid, releases increased amounts of insulin, with guanidinoacetic acid having a better effect on insulin secretion than creatine itself. Insulin increases the uptake of glucose and amino acids in muscle cells and thus promotes protein synthesis.

Sufficient creatine levels support optimal energy metabolism, high animal performance and carcass characteristics.

GAUDOX feed mix is almost completely absorbed by the body, being absorbed in the small intestine.

Application

It is used to increase the productivity of animals and poultry, improve the quality of meat and reduce subcutaneous fat, improve reproduction rates, increase the body's natural resistance and the level of immunity during and after vaccinations, and protect the animal body from the effects of stress of various kinds.

Due to the absence of creatine, guanidinoacetic acid is more effective in a pure vegetable protein diet and can replace some types of fish meal, meat and bone meal and other animal proteins.

The feed mixture is used for fattening cattle, pigs and poultry.

Dosage

The GUADOX feed mixture is mixed with feed in doses:

- CATTLE: 2 kg per 1 ton of feed;

- pigs: 600 g - 1000 g per 1 ton of feed;

- sows: 700 g - 1000 g per 1 ton of feed;

- poultry: - 600 g - 1000 g per 1 ton of feed.
