Description
Microgranulated powder from white to cream-coloured, with a specific odour characteristic of good-quality raw materials.
Composition
1 g of feed mixture contains:
- alpha-monolaurin – 900 mg;
- wheat starch – 50 mg;
- calcium carbonate – 50 mg.
Moisture content not more than 10%.
Pharmacologial properties
LAURIT-90 is a feed mixture that maintains and increases the productivity of animals and poultry due to its effective action in the prevention and treatment of viral diseases and in the prevention and treatment of bacterial diseases.
Monolaurin is used to suppress the growth and development of pathogenic microflora and is effective throughout the gastrointestinal tract, since it is an alpha-monoglyceride with covalent bonding between lauric acid and glycerol, and its activity does not depend on the pH of the environment. It acts actively against Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogenic bacteria: Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Clostridium perfringens, Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Listeria monocytogenes, Mycoplasma synoviae, Campylobacter jejuni, Brachyspira hyodisenteriae, Helycobacter Pylori.
Monolaurin is a monoglyceride derived from glycerol and lauric acid and interacts with the membranes of Gram-positive microorganisms, exerting bacteriostatic and bactericidal effects.
Monolaurin inactivates enveloped viruses by attaching to the lipid–protein envelope of the virus, preventing its attachment and penetration into host cells and thus making infection and replication impossible.
The intake of medium-chain fatty acids, such as monolaurin, helps to remodel the intestinal microbiome by changing the distribution of beneficial bacteria where they are most needed. Monolaurin is also an effective agent in inhibiting the development of biofilms, which may be characterised by a decrease in the number of viable bacteria associated with the biofilm, as well as a reduction of biofilm biomass.
Monolaurin is partially transported into the systemic circulation via the intestinal lymphatic system.

Dosage and administration
The feed mixture is administered orally in the following doses:
Poultry
For prevention:
- layers – 300–500 g of feed mixture per 1 tonne of feed;
- droilers – 300–600 g of feed mixture per 1 tonne of feed;
- turkeys – 500–600 g of feed mixture per 1 tonne of feed.
In case of viral diseases, including avian influenza:
- 1500–2500 g of feed mixture per 1 tonne of feed for 14–21 days until disappearance of symptoms.
Horses, calves, lambs
For prevention:
- 500–600 g of feed mixture per 1 tonne of feed.
In case of viral diseases:
- 800 g of feed mixture per 1 tonne of feed.
Pigs
For prevention in all technological and age groups:
- 800–1000 g of feed mixture per 1 tonne of feed.
In case of viral diseases, including African swine fever:
- 2500–3500 g of feed mixture per 1 tonne of feed for 14–21 days until disappearance of symptoms.
Dogs, cats, aquaculture (salmonid and non-salmonid fish)
- 300–600 g of feed mixture per 1 tonne of feed.
In case of viral diseases:
- 800 g of feed mixture per 1 tonne of feed.

None established.
Warnings
Observe sanitary and hygienic rules and regulations.
Package presentation
Polyethylene film bags of 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg and bags of 5 kg, 10 kg, 20 kg and 25 kg.
Storage
Store in a dry, dark place at a temperature from 0 to 25 °C and relative humidity not exceeding 70%.
Shelf life
2 years.
Use within 28 days after first opening of the immediate packaging, under the storage conditions.
