The active ingredient of the preparation is an antibiotic tilmicosin phosphate, semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic.

Tilmicosin – is a semi-synthetic antibiotic of macrolide group. It has is a wide spectrum of activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria , especially against Mycoplasma spp., Haemophilus spp., Actinomyces spp., Corynebacterium and Pasteurella spp.. The mechanism of its action is to block protein synthesis in bacterial cells by forming a complex with 50S- ribosomal subunits.

The medication is well absorbed from the digestive tract, it penetrates into all organs and tissues of the body, where creates an antibiotic concentration within 48 hours. It quickly enters into the respiratory tissues. Within 6 hours, tilmicosin reaches the required concentration and begins to act on the pathogens in the lung tissue and airspaces bags. The therapeutic effect lasts more than 48 hours.

Mainly excretes from the body unchanged, basically by glomerular filtration, and excretes as unchanged form in the digestive canal with bile, by inactivating the chelating compounds, and then excreted in the faeces.

INDICATIONS
