DESCRIPTION

Liquid from light-yellow to yellowish-brown color, little sediment is possible.

COMPOSITION

Each 1 mL contains the active ingredients:
enrofloxacin – 120.0 mg;
colistin sulfate – 1200000 units.

PHARMACOLOGICALPROPERTIES

Paramicin – combined preparation, which consists of enrofloxacin and colistin sulfate. As a result of synergy of active substances activity of the preparation is much higher than its individual components.

Enrofloxacin belongs to antibiotics of the fluoroquinolone group. Its mechanism of action is related with inhibition of subunit A of DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) of gram-negative bacteria, which blocks the superspiralization process of DNA molecule. In gram-positive bacteria, this process affects topoisomerase IV, rather than topoisomerase II. Under these conditions, transcription and DNA recombination in bacteria are blocked. Enrofloxacin has bactericidal effect against Gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Corynebacterium spp., etc.) and Gram-negative bacteria (E. coli, Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Pasterella spp., Bordetella spp., etc.), and also affects mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Mycoplasma synoviae, Mycoplasma hyosynoviae, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Mycoplasma meleagridis, Mycoplasma iowae).

Colistin – antibiotic of polymixin group that synthesizes by aerobic spore-forming rod Bacillus polymyxa. It has bactericidal effect on gram-negative bacteria (such as E. coli, Salmonella spp., Pseudomonas spp.), binding to phospholipids of the cytoplasmic membrane, increasing its permeability both internally and of extracellular components, which leads to degradation of cellular barrier interiors and lysis of bacteria cells.

INDICATIONS

Calves (under 3 months old): treatment of animals suffering from bronchopneumonia, pneumonia, enterit, colibacillos, omphalit, salmonellos, mycoplasmos caused by microorganisms sensitive to colistin and enrofloxacin, and also secondary infections.

Pigs (of all ages): treatment of animals suffering from colibacillos, pasteurellos, mycoplasmos, salmonellas, atrophic rhinit, enzootic pneumonia syndrome MMA (mastitis-metritis-agalactia) caused by pathogens susceptible to colistin and enrofloxacin.

Young chickens, broilers, turkeys: treatment of poultry suffering from colibacillos, pasteurellos, salonellos, mycoplasmos, chronic respiratory infections (CRD), stafilococoz and campylobacterios, caused by pathogens susceptible to colistin and enrofloxacin.

DOSAGE

Orally with drinking water or milk in doses:

Pigs, calves: 0.5 - 0.8 ml per 10 kg of body weight, every day;

Young chickens, broilers, turkeys: 0.5-1.0 ml per 1 liters of drinking water, daily

Use at intervals of 24 hours. The duration of treatment 5 days.

Shake the ampoule / vial before using.

During the treatment period, the animals should only receive the water that contains the medicine. Prepare a fresh solution every day.
