"Vetsintez" continued its tour across Ukraine
"Vetsintez"
continued its tour across Ukraine with a research-to-practical conference on
the subject: "Main infectious diseases at livestock farms of Ukraine and
modern ways to combat them".
On June 20, 2018, with
the support of the "Association of Veterinary Science Specialists of
Ukraine", Khmelnytskyi hosted a conference that was attended by more than
one hundred veterinary specialists from different regions (Kyiv, Vinnytsya,
Volynska, Rivne, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Zhytomyr, Lviv region were represented
besides Khmelnytskyi).
A number of
topical issues were considered at the event:
- modern
approaches to the production of medicines and modern methods of laboratory
diagnosis;
- dry
disinfection: field of application, methods, goals, differences;
- main respiratory
diseases of cattle, methods of combatting and prevention;
- milking hygiene,
prevention and treatment of mastitis;
- orthopedics of
cattle: methods of diagnosis, prevention and treatment;
- modern methods
of protection from insects;
- backfat depth as
a marker for forecasting reproductive functions of sows;
- diseases of the
reproductive system of pigs and methods of combating them;
- effective
prevention of parvovirus, leptospirosis and erysipelas is the key to successful
reproduction;
- sorting,
valuation of and care for suckling piglets, etc.
The welcome speech
at the conference was made by Vasyl Pylypovych Hrushko, Head of the State
Consumer Protection Service of Khmelnytsky region and Sikalo Maksym Volodymyrovych,
Head of the Sales and Marketing Department of "Vetsintez".
The reports were
made by: veterinarians, technical consultants Timbay R.N., Deshchenko A. S.,
Babiyov N.N. ("Vetsintez"), the veterinarians Kletsova Nadiya
("ZVK"), technical specialist Chizhevskyi Ye.N. ("Zoetis
Ukraine"), candidate of veterinary sciences and independent consultant
Petryk M.V., candidate of veterinary sciences and scientific consultant
Chernozub Т.В. ("Ukrvet").
The event was held
simultaneously in two directions – cattle and pig farming, and was accompanied
by the speakers' close communication with the guests of the conference; they
raised many questions on various aspects of practical application of veterinary
medicines and equipment, treatment schemes, prevention of various diseases of
cattle and pigs. All questions received detailed and comprehensive answers from
specialists.
