COMPOSITION

Monensin sodium –
200,0 mg.
Additive agents: calcium carbonate, corn starch, liquid paraffin.

Monensin sodium as a component of the
product has a wide spectrum of anticoccidial effect, effective against eimeria Eimeria
tenella, E. acervulina, E. necatrix, E. maxima, E. mivati, E. brunetty, E.
mitis, E. Praecox and other types of eimeria of chicken. Monensin sodium is referred to the group of
ionophoric antibiotics.
Monensin effect is
conditioned by the ability to form lipophilic complexes with alkali and alkali
earth metal ions and to carry them over to eimeria cell that leads to
disturbance of osmotic balance and eimeria death.
Monensin is very
little absorbed in the digestive tract of poultry and egested of the organism
mainly with fecal matter within 3 days.
It is compatible with vitamins and common feed additives used in poultry farming.
INDICATIONS
Preventive treatment of coccidiosis in chicken caused by eimeria: Eimeria tenella, E. acervulina, E. necatrix, E. maxima, E. mivati, E. brunetti, E. mitis.
DOSAGE
Orally with feed in
a dose:
0,5-0,6 kg of the product / 1 tn
of feed (equivalent to 100-120 g monensin sodium / 1 tn of feed). Broiler chicken:
the product is administered with feed within the entire feeding period starting
from the first days of life and is removed off the ration 5 days prior to
slaughter; the rearing stock of poultry – from the first days of life to 16
weeks.
The medicinal
product one-day old broilers with feed within the entire period of breeding for
turkeys and rearing stock of chicken - from one-day old to 16-weeks old.
When mixing the medicinal product with feed, its homogenous distribution is to be ensured (multistage mixing: in 10 kg of feed, in 100 kg of feed, in 1000 kg of feed).
CONTRADICTIONS
Not to be used by laying hens!
Not to be used by horses and other perissodactyls!
Precaution
Poultry slaughter
is allowed 5 days after the most recent medicinal product administration. The
personnel working with the product is to be observed the basic rules of safety
and hygiene established for operations with veterinary products.

with erythromycin, oleandomycin and sulphanilamide agents!

with other coccidiostats!
