DESCRIPTION

Transparent oily liquid from colorless to light – yellow color.

COMPOSITION

Each1 ml contains the active ingredient:
florfenicol (ftorfenicol) – 300 mg.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

The active ingredient is an antibiotic from fenicol group – Florfenicol. It’s active against gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms including: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Enterobacter spp., E. coli, Pasteurella haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Pasteurella piscicida, Vibrio spp., Haemophilus somnus, Haemophilus parasuis, Fusobacterium necrophorum, Bacteroides melaninogenicus, A. pleuropneumoniae, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Shigella spp. and others.

Florfenicol active against most mycoplasma (Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Mycoplasma hyorhinis and others).

The mechanism of action of the preparation is binding to 70S ribosomes and blocking protein synthesis in bacteria cells.

INDICATIONS

Treatment of cattle and pigs suffering from respiratory diseases and also from necrobacillos, ceratoconjunctivitis, ungulates rot, acute interfinger necrobacillos, infectious hoof dermatitis that are caused by microorganisms sensitive to florfenicol.

DOSAGE

Cattle:

Intramuscular injection – 20 mg of florfenicol (ftorfenicol) per 1 kg of body weight, or 1 ml of the medicine per 15 kg of body weight, twice, every 48 hours; Subqutaneous – 40 mg of florfenicol (ftorfenicol) per 1 kg of body weight, or 2 ml of the medicine per 15 kg of body weight, once.

Pigs:

Intramuscular injection – 15 mg of florfenicol (ftorfenicol) per 1 kg of body weight, or 1 ml of the medicine per 20 kg of body weight, twice, every 48 hours.

The dose must not exceed 10 ml in same injection site and carried out only in the area of the neck.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Do not use in animals sensitive to Florfenicol.
Do not use in pregnant animals during the first third of the pregnancy.
Do not use simultaneously with tiamphenicol or chloramphenicol, antibiotics of penicillin, cephalosporins, fluoroquinolones group, due with the possibility of toxicosis.
Do not use with sulphanilamide preparations.
Do not use in animals with liver and kidney violations.

PRECAUTIONS

Cattles may only be slaughtered for meat, after 30 (if administered intramuscularly), 44 (if administered subcutaneously) the milk can be used after 8 days.

Pigs may only be slaughtered for meat after 14 from the treatment.

The use of the medicine to pregnant animals is permitted only when the pathogen sensitivity to the drug is specified and possible efficacy of prevailing economic losses.

HOW SUPPLIED

Neutral glass vials of 10-mL, 20-mL, 50-mL and 100-mL, closed by a rubber stopper and sealed with an aluminum cover. Secondary package: carton box.

STORAGE

Dry, dark, inaccessible to children place at temperature of 5°C to 20ºC.
Shelf life – 2 years.
