PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
The active ingredient is an antibiotic from fenicol group – Florfenicol. It’s active against gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms including: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Enterobacter spp., E. coli, Pasteurella haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Pasteurella piscicida, Vibrio spp., Haemophilus somnus, Haemophilus parasuis, Fusobacterium necrophorum, Bacteroides melaninogenicus, A. pleuropneumoniae, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Shigella spp. and others.
INDICATIONS
Pigs: treatment of animals suffering from pleuropneumonia, atrophic rhinitis, Glesser’s disease (haemophilosis poliserosit), pasteurellosis, salmonellosis, colyinfection caused by microorganisms susceptible to Florfenicol.
Poultry (broilers, breeding chickens, young replacements chicks, turkeys): treatment of poultry suffering from colyinfection, pasteurellosis, mycoplasmosis, salmonellosis and respiratory diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to Florfenicol.
DOSAGE
Orally with drinking water in following doses:
Pigs: 3 – 4 ml per 100 kg of body weight everyday for 7 days;
Poultry (chicken- broilers, breeding chicken young chickens, turkeys): daily dose is 20 mg of Florfenicol per 1 kg of body weight, which corresponds to:
- Young chickens (4 weeks old) – 200 ml per 100 liters of drinking water every day for 3-5 days;
- Poultry (older than 4 weeks) – 400 ml per 100 liters of drinking water every day for 3-5 days.
