It blocks the synthesis of cell walls of the bacteria, slows the enzyme activity of transpeptidase and carboxypeptidase, causes osmotic balance disturbance, which resulting to the death of microorganisms during the stage of development.
The preparation is active against gram-positive (Actinomycos spp., Bacillus antracis, Cloctridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Streptococcus spp., Listeria monocytogenes) and gram-negative (Actinobacillus app., Bordetella bronchiseptica, Fusobacterium spp., Haemophilus app., Moraxella spp ., Pasteurella app., Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella spp.) microorganisms. Insensitive to the preparation such microorganisms as: Pseodomonas aeruginosa, Serratia, indole-positive Proteus (except Proteus mirabilis), Enterobacter spp, Citrobacter spp and Acinetobacter spp.
Prednisolone is a dehydrated analogue of hydrocortisone. It has anti-inflammatory, desensitizing and anti-allergic effect, and anti-shock and antitoxic properties. Stimulating steroid receptors, induces formation of a special class of proteins – lipocortins (annexin) that decongestants have activity as well as reduces the activity of hyaluronidase, and helps reduce the capillary permeability.
