DESCRIPTION

The powder from light-yellow to yellow-brown, with the specific odor of the components.

COMPOSITION

1 g of the preparation contains the active ingredient:
- doxycycline hyclate – 500.0 mg;

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Doxycycline hyclate – bacteriostatic antibiotic that belongs to the group of tetracyclines. It affects bacteria ribosomes, preventing protein synthesis. The preparation has a wide range of antimicrobial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (Staphylococcus spp., Diplococcus pneumonia, Streptococcus spp., Haemophilus influenza, E. coli, Bacillus antracis, Clostridium tetani, Clostridium perfringes, Listeria monocytogens, Pasteurella spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, Enterobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Yersinia spp.) and mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma spp.), rickettsia (Rickettsia spp.) and chlamydia (Chlamydia).

INDICATIONS

Calves under 6 weeks, pigs: treatment of animals suffering from septicemia and respiratory diseases (pneumonia, pleuropneumonia, atrophic rhinit, etc.), gastrointestinal tract (colibacilos, salmonellos), caused by microorganisms sensitive to doxycycline.

Poultry (broilers, Heifer): treatment of poultry suffering from clibacillos, salmonella, chlamydia, septicemia and respiratory diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to doxycycline.

DOSAGE

Orally with drinking water or with feed in a dose:

- calves – 1.0 g per 100 kg of body weight twice a day (5 mg of doxycycline hyclate per 1 kg of body weight a day) with drinking water or with food, milk or milk substitutor;

- pigs – 2.0-4.0 g per 100 kg of body weight once a day (10-20 mg of doxycycline hyclate per 1 kg of body weight a day) or 200 grams in 1000 liters of drinking water;

- poultry (broilers, Heifer) – 0.4-0.5 g per 10 kg of body weight per day (20-25 mg of doxycycline hyclate per 1 kg of body weight a day) or 100 grams at 500-1000 l of drinking water.

Treatment course – 5 days.

While using the preparation with drinking water solution is prepared from the calculation of the required quantity of drinking water (in accordance with water rates for individual age categories of animals) per a day.

Prepare a fresh solution of the drug every day.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Hypersensitivity to the preparation tetracycline.
Do not use concurrently with antibioics such as penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones and cycloserine.
Do not use in animals with severe liver and kidney disfunction.
Do not use for ruminant animals with functionally developed pre-stomaches and for laying hens, whose eggs will be used for human consumption.

PRECAUTIONS

In the process of mixing the preparation the personnel should use protective equipment (respirator, gloves).
Test the drug preliminarily in a small number of animals (7 to 8 heads). If no complication during 2 - 3 days, use the drag for the entire livestock population.
Slaughtering for meat is allowed after 8 (for pigs), 7 (for poultry) and 14 (for calves) days from the last use of the preparation.

HOW SUPPLIED

Packets made of polyethylene pellicle or other polymer pellicle of 1, 10, 50 and 100, 500 and 1000 g; and 25 kg.
Polymeric containers of 0.5 and 1kg.

STORAGE

Dry, dark, inaccessible to children place at temperature from 15 C to 25 C.

Shelf life 

2 years.

After opening – it should be used within 28 days and stored at dark place between 15°C and 25°C.
