Pharmacological properties

Food additive BAXINOL is a balanced combination of synergizing acting organic acids that has cumulative properties of acidifying agent and conserving agent in fodders and potable water BAXINOL assists in stabilization of microflora of animals and poultry alimentary canal, inhibits growth and progress of bacterial species Е.соlі, Salmonella, Campilobacter, Pseudomonas etc., yeast fungi in fodders, water and alimentary canal of animals and poultry.  Maintains nutritional properties and increases the shelf life of fodders. PH decrease assists in proteins assimilation and ferments activation and makes better digestion process. Creates favourable conditions for growth of useful microflora. Decreases pH of potable water and cleans a water feed system from biofilm and prevents its formation.

BAXINOL decreases the level of water bacterization by pathogenic microorganisms (formic and acetic acids), inhibits its progress in intestines, prevents development of diseases of alimentary canal of poultry and pigs, has an anti-fungal effect (propionic acid and its salts, lactic acid). Decreasing pH level in intestines the additive creates optimal conditions for development of propionic and lactic acid bacteria and inhibits reproduction of pathogenic microflora. Unionized forms of organic acids are lipophilic, therefore, they penetrate through the membrane of bacterial cells, disturb their metabolism and DNA replication and cause bacteriostatic effect.

Formic acid decreases pH level and buffer capacity of fodder inhibiting the growth and progress of pathogenic bacteria: Е.соlі, Salmonella, Campilobacter, Pseudomonas etc. and also increases assimilation of calcium and phosphor. Among carboxylic acids formic acid has the most evident antibacterial effect.

Propionic acid and its salt have a strong anti-fungal effect. Propionic acid is absorbed through alimentary canal and transported to the liver where propionate is completely changed into glucose. In combination with formic acid these acids have synergetic effect and used against some gram-positive causative agents (Clostridium).

Lactic acid actively stimulates ferments secretion of pancreas. It simultaneously creates favourable conditions for development of Lactobacillus bacteria that stop the growth and progress of pathogenic micro organisms of small intestine part of animals. Lactic acid stimulates renewal of intestinal villi that increase the surface of nutritive absorption. Lactic acid has a preventive effect to mycotoxins - aflatoxins (fungus: Aspergilus flavus, A parasiticus), improves fodders tastiness.

Citric acid is an effective anti-stress component that stimulates formation of chelate forms of calcium, potassium, ferrum, zinc and any other micro elements in intestines as a result of what they are better ingested by an organism. Citric acid neutralizes radionuclides, pesticides and it is an universal antioxidant that prevents oxidation of fats and spoilage of fodders.

Acetic acid is a catalyst for protein cleavage into amino acids and has a strong bactericidal action.

Succinic acid increases fodder digestion, biosynthesis processes, is an universal anti-stress substance, does not cause any xenobiotic effect, increases cell breathing and metabolism including glucose, improves functioning of respiratory organs, kidneys, intestines, maintains endocrine system functioning.

Organic acids decrease buffer capacity of fodder alkaline components that stimulate nitrogen and fodders macro elements use, increase ferments secretion in stomach, pancreas and intestines, transformation of nutritive materials, stimulate growth of intestinal villi what makes better parietal digestion and increases absorption of nutritive materials, prevent such diseases as enteritis, decrease intensity of fermentation process in the part of large intestine.

Clinical particular features

Animal species

Pigs, poultry (laying hens, broilers, chicks, replacement chicks).

Indications

Protection of fodders and potable water against pathogenic microflora, conservation, fodders acidification that assists in increase of fodders shelf life, acidification of animals and poultry alimentary canal that assists in inhibition of progress of gram-negative and putrefaction micro organisms in alimentary canal, improvement of fodders digestion process, absorption of fodder nutrients, stimulation of growth and increase of poultry and pigs’ productivity.

We recommend to use BAXINOL after the use of antimicrobial preparations, especially for prevention of colibacillosis, clostridiosis and other diseases.

Dosage and administration route for animals of different age

BAXINOL shall be sprayed on fodder during mixing or fed together with fodder by means of stage-by-stage mixing or added in potable water on the basis of:

fodder for pigs - 1-2 l of additive per 1000 kg;

fodder for poultry - 1-3 l per 1000 kg;

potable water - 0.3-1 l / 1000 l;

For cleaning of a water feed system: 0.5% solution shall be added to the system and kept during 12 hours. After use it shall be flushed by cold water;

For salmonellosis disease prevention the feed additive shall be added to the fodder or water on the basis of: 0.1-0.3% from fodder volume.

The dose depends on the level of the bacterial background, fodder composition and potable water quality.

The max. efficiency of the feed additive is when pH of water is 4.2-4.6 (you shall control the pH level of water).

Special warnings and precautions for persons and maintenance staff

Detrimental to health in case of inspiration and contact with skin! You shall avoid contacts with skin, eyes and clothes. Do not inhale vapours! Use protective clothes, masks, gloves and safety goggles during the work. Wash throughly the hands with water after the work with the product. High concentrated mixture. Store the feed additive in the tightly closed package, be careful during opening.

The appropriate ventilation of the premise shall be provided during the work with the feed additive. Use protective clothing, safety goggles, protective gloves and mask. In case of contact with skin you shall immediately wash it by use of large volume of water and soap. In case of contact with eyes you shall immediately wash them with water during several minutes, if any contact lenses are present you shall take them away and continue to wash the eyes with water. In case of accident after inspiration you shall bring the injured person in the open air and keep him or her in the position convenient for breathing. You shall seek medical advice if you feel any indisposition. Unused feed additive and its rests shall be utilized according to the regulations of the effective legislation.
