- zeolite                 - 10%;

- calcium propionate (E 282) - 3%.

Pharmacological properties

Feed mixture SORBECIDE – has pronounced sorption properties due to zeolite, bentonite and kaolin.

Zeolite acts as an adsorbent of metabolic products, mycotoxins, heavy metal salts, radionuclides and other harmful substances, thereby contributing to the prevention of feed diseases. Zeolite is involved as an ion exchanger in a number of biochemical transformations in the digestive process, including: transport, activation and prolongation of the action of enzymes and hormones; maintaining a favorable ionic balance in relation to sodium, potassium and calcium; stabilizing the acid-base balance in the digestive tract. Zeolite, as a catalyst, promotes better absorption of macro- and microelements from the feed.

Kaolin, in turn, prevents caking and clumping of feed, as well as prevents food poisoning, binds to the molecular structure of mycotoxins in an irreversible way, which ensures that the chemical reaction of toxin recovery and their repeated action on the animal's body is impossible.

The action of bentonite is aimed at adsorption of mycotoxins, free radicals and toxic man-made substances (pesticides, dioxins, ammonia, etc.) The composition of bentonite comprises of calcium, sodium, sulphur, iron, copper, zinc, and manganese.

Bentonite, as an active adsorbent, absorbs excess gases formed in the rumen during grass fermentation and thus prevents the occurrence of tympanic fever in animals. One of the most important properties of bentonite is its high buffering properties and ability to optimize the pH of the rumen contents within the range of neutral and slightly acidic reactions, which improves the development of cellulosolytic microflora and fiber digestion, and increases the formation of acetic acid in the rumen, which is used to form fat in milk. In addition, bentonite, containing trace elements, increases the intensity of rumen microflora development and improves the digestibility of all nutrients in the diet.

Bentonite increases egg production, while reducing feed consumption, improves shell quality, increases egg weight and reduces litter moisture, and improves bird plumage.

Calcium propionate activates minerals and prevents mold in the finished feed.  Calcium propionate retains toxins in an adsorbed form and prevents their release in further parts of the digestive tract.

Application

It is added to feed for animals and poultry in order to prevent their contamination with mycotoxins, as well as to prevent their repeated damage during storage, transportation and processing. It ensures the optimal quality of feed, improves their assimilation, thanks to the regulation of the microflora of the digestive tract, which increases the productivity of animals and poultry. Helps to restore the barrier function of the liver.
